When you think about a senior session, do you think about a stuffy studio shoot with an uncomfortable tie and an awkward smile? It doesn’t have to be that way, and this outdoor senior session is proof! I recently had the opportunity to photograph a senior boy, and we turned the stereotypes on their heads!
Our goal is for Mom and the senior to walk out of this shoot happy. If you have ever met a high school boy, you know that can be a tall order. The key is to keep things relaxed, keep them moving, and make it interesting for him! Mom is going to love the genuine smiles and personality.
For this shoot, we focused on his love of baseball to keep his pictures interesting and show off a big part of his high school career. The letterman was a clear choice for his outfit, and it kept him comfortable. A comfortable senior means he will feel more confident, and we will get more genuine smiles! The focus on baseball was also fun because we got some shots of him throwing the ball. I love the movement in the photos, and I love how relaxed he is!
Of course, Mom joined us for a few shots. She was beaming and so proud of her son. LOVE. I am sure that she is going to cherish those shots with him!
