Birthdays have a way of reminding us that our kids are, in fact, getting older. As a San Diego photographer, I love a photoshoot as a celebration of the ways they are growing and as a way to stop time, at least in the photos.
This is Brayden’s birthday photoshoot, and I just love the pictures we got. He is into Minecraft, so this was the perfect location for him with a very pixelated, video game feel. It is also a really colorful spot and gave a really playful, child-inspired feel to his photos.
Doing a special birthday photoshoot for your kiddo is super fun, and it celebrates their current interests and personality. Just like we did for Brayden, we will take into consideration what your kid is into right now and look for a location that reflects that.
Pictures help us document our kids as they are right now, and part of that is the things that they are interested in. I want you to be able to look back at these in 10 or 20 years and remember what they were like at this age. My hope is that these images will take you right back to what it was like to be with them and experience this stage of life with them. I want to highlight their personality and all their features as they are now. And of course, we want to have fun, too!
