There are so many incredible locations for photos in San Diego, and some of them are quite popular. Every once in a while, I come upon a hidden gem that makes my photographer's heart so happy. We did this cactus garden family session in one such place, and I am so excited to share it with you today.

It was extra special to bring this family to my hidden gem because I have been photographing their little family since the girls were just one! One of the best parts about clients returning every year is that I get to watch their kiddos and their families grow and change. Updating your pictures each year is a great way to watch all the changes and growth in your family over time. I love the way that you can look back and remember all the little things about your kids and that stage in life. From chubby toddler fingers to crooked grins as kids lose teeth, I just love it all!
We had lots of fun with the girls’ long skirts during this shoot. The colors of their outfits were so perfect for the location. During our session, we captured what it’s like to have a sister you are close with–whispering secrets, dancing and twirling, hugs, and laughter. It was so clear how strong the bond is between the girls and their parents!
