We all know that moms are basically superheroes when it comes to multitasking. This mama took it to the next level by scheduling her branding maternity session. Okay, it was really a maternity shoot, but we got some extra shots for her to use with her business.
This started off as a quintessential San Diego beach maternity session. Mom and Dad played with the big brother-to-be in the sand and the waves. They really kept things playful with their little guy, and we got a lot of shots of him with Mom’s growing belly. He was just the sweetest. I captured some of his little footprints in the sand that were just too stinkin’ cute! We also grabbed some couple shots featuring the belly, because is it even a maternity shoot without that?
Then the real fun began. This mama decided to incorporate her yoga teaching role into her photos. She runs a yoga business on the beach, so we had a little yoga shoot as part of our time together. I am impressed with anyone who can do yoga on unstable sand and rocks while pregnant. See? Superhero moms! We snagged lots of great photos that she will be able to use in the promos for her business.
We finished the shoot with Mom donning a mermaid tail. Yes! She shimmied into it on a rock. It must be all the yoga, because I remember barely being able to get my pants on at the end of pregnancy! The waves were basically a paid actor because they splashed up in the most perfect way for her to have a Little Mermaid moment.
This was such a fun branding maternity session. It was the perfect mix of traditional, playful, business, and creativity.
